JOB DETAILS:

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced Chef to work in our 15-bedded Bed and Breakfast Lodge in Msasani, working 5 days a week.

Our guests include both international and local visitors. The successful candidate must be clean, organised, and capable of maintaining high standards of hygiene within the kitchen and restaurant environment at all times.

The Chef will work independently to prepare and serve meals to a small group of in-house guests. Please note that the restaurant is not open to the wider public; therefore, there are no waiters.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and serve meals to in-house guests
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and restaurant areas
• Work independently in meal preparation and service
• Follow existing menus and recipes
• Suggest improvements and additions to menus
• Calculate and estimate meal costs to assist in pricing reviews

WORKING SCHEDULE

• 5 working days per week
• Working hours: 6:30 AM – 9:00 PM
• Flexibility to cover extra shifts when required

SALARY & BENEFITS

• Salary: TZS 400,000 – 500,000 per month (take-home pay)
• (After PAYE, NSSF, and SDL deductions)
• Initial 3-month contract followed by annual contracts
• Extra shifts paid at TZS 20,000 per day

Experience in Months: 24

Level of Education: bachelor degree
