Job Purpose:
To provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Mwenge Branch. Drive business growth, ensure exceptional customer service, maintain operational excellence, and achieve profitability targets while adhering to regulatory and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Business Development:
- Develop and execute branch business plans to achieve deposit, loan, and revenue targets.
- Identify and capitalize on local market opportunities to acquire new customers and deepen existing relationships.
- Lead marketing and community outreach initiatives to enhance branch visibility and brand presence.
Operations & Risk Management:
- Ensure daily branch operations (teller, cash, clearing, account opening) run smoothly and comply with bank policies and central bank regulations.
- Implement robust internal controls to prevent fraud, money laundering, and operational losses.
- Manage branch cash levels, security, and all physical assets.
Customer Service:
- Maintain high Net Promoter Scores (NPS) by resolving customer complaints promptly and improving service delivery.
- Monitor queue management, staff courtesy, and service turnaround times.
Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate branch staff (tellers, customer service officers, sales agents).
- Conduct regular performance reviews and foster a high-performance culture.
Financial Management:
- Monitor branch profit & loss (P&L), control expenses, and improve cost-to-income ratio.
- Ensure timely loan recoveries and follow up on non-performing loans (NPLs) at branch level.
Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare weekly/monthly branch performance reports for senior management.
- Ensure all statutory and audit requirements are met.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s/MBA preferred).
- Minimum 5–7 years of banking experience, with at least 3 years in branch management or supervisory role.
- Knowledge of T24, FlexiCube, or core banking systems.
- Strong sales, leadership, and negotiation skills.
