Role Purpose
The Reconciliation Analyst will be responsible for reviewing and resolving discrepancies across all internal and external accounts.
The role also involves the daily review of data transmitted to government systems, identifying discrepancies, and reconciling differences between source systems, intermediate systems, and final output.
Key Accountabilities and Decision Ownership
The Reconciliation Analyst will be responsible for:
- Daily reviewing data transmitted to government authorities.
- Identifying and resolving discrepancies between source systems, intermediate systems, and final output.
- Handling bill cancellation and completions.
- Reviewing and providing resolutions for daily transactions with discrepancies across both internal and external accounts.
- Communicating effectively with third parties and government entities to ensure discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
- Developing and maintaining data integrity processes, control processes, and reconciliation checks.
- Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation reports.
- Ensuring all tasks are resolved within the stipulated SLA.
- Managing operations, administration, and security of systems under the Intelligence and Data division in line with company standards, policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
- Taking responsibility for Business Continuity Planning and Disaster Recovery Planning for all systems under the Intelligence and Data division.
Core Competencies and Experience
Applicants should have the following competencies and experience:
- Programming and SQL knowledge.
- At least two years of experience in the IT or telecommunications field.
- Experience working with large data sets in Management Information Systems.
- Experience integrating various data sources, including APIs and ETL processes.
- Strong proficiency in data visualization platforms, including Power BI.
- Strong attention to detail, especially in data accuracy and reconciliation.
Qualifications
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of general BI and data warehouse best practices.
- Ability to create, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL statements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Proactive working style.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
