1. Profile
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with at least 2 years of NGO experience.
- Strong understanding of financial controls and compliance.
- Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software is preferred.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
2. Purpose
To ensure the effective, transparent, and accountable financial management of all Salvation Army Tanzania development projects.
3. Key Responsibilities
- Manage financial compliance for assigned projects.
- Enter supplier invoices into NetSuite and process payments.
- Create, manage, and clear project advances.
- Post income, expenses, and maintain accurate project ledgers.
- Conduct bank reconciliations.
- Payroll processing and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
- Prepare and monitor project budgets and variances.
- Prepare internal and donor financial reports.
- Support audits and project closures.
- Participate in project review meetings and trainings.
4. Safeguarding & Values
All Salvation Army staff are required to uphold safeguarding standards, demonstrate integrity, and model Christian values in behaviour and practice.
