Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania (CCBRT) aims to be the leading provider of accessible specialized health services in Africa and serves as healthcare social enterprise and through development programs in the community and the most vulnerable.
Committed to preventing lifelong disabilities wherever possible, CCBRT is also engaged in extensive maternal and newborn healthcare (MNHC) activities including obstetric fistula repairs.
Its Maternity and Newborn Wing serves as a referral Centre for high risk and emergency deliveries in the region of Dar es Salaam and the Eastern Zone of Tanzania.
Position overview
In order to strengthen our Imaging services in support of our expansion of services, we are looking for an experienced Radiologist.
The role
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate and timely diagnostic imaging services, supporting clinical decision-making, and enhancing patient care outcomes.
The Radiologist will be responsible for interpreting a wide range of medical images, producing comprehensive reports, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.
The role demands a strong commitment to patient safety, adherence to best practices in radiation protection, continuous improvement of imaging quality and service delivery and providing training and support to junior staff members.
The candidate
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) with a Master’s degree in Radiology or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Must be fully registered and licensed to practice with the relevant regulatory authority.
- A minimum of four (4) years’ proven experience in a radiology department, demonstrating progressive responsibility and competence in diagnostic imaging.
- Demonstrated proficiency in performing and interpreting a wide range of imaging modalities, including X-ray, CT scan, MRI, Ultrasound, Echocardiography, and Mammography, to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Proven ability to accurately analyze and interpret medical images, providing timely and reliable reports that guide clinical decision-making.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Kiswahili and English, with the ability to effectively convey complex medical information to clinicians and patients.
- Strong patient-centered approach with excellent interpersonal skills, ensuring compassionate care and professional interaction with patients and healthcare teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail and commitment to high standards of diagnostic accuracy.
