At Shikana Group, together with our brands Know My Legal and AK Unique Gems, we operate at the intersection of law, investment, and building impactful businesses across Africa.
We are looking for a young, sharp, and driven law graduate who is ready to learn fast, work hard, and grow into a serious legal and business professional.
This is not a passive role. This is a training ground for excellence.

You will work directly under close supervision across real legal work, including:

- Supporting company registration, licensing, and regulatory filings
- Handling work permits, residence permits, and immigration processes
- Assisting with intellectual property registrations
- Conducting legal research and preparing structured notes
- Supporting case preparation and internal legal work
- Contributing to articles, legal content, and knowledge platforms
- Engagement and support to small enterprises and entrepreneurs through our platform Know My Legal
You will not just observe, but you will execute, learn, and improve daily.

- A recent law graduate or early-stage legal professional (law school of Tanzania graduate is also welcomed)
- Proactive: you don’t wait to be told everything
- Hardworking: you are willing to go the extra mile
- Curious: you want to understand how law works in real business
- Integrity: you value honesty and truth and these values cannot be compromised
- A team player with high standards (A-player mindset)
- Confident: not arrogant, but willing to step up
- Serious about building a career in law, business, and investment in Africa
- Multilingual: Speaks and Writes English and Kiswahili fluently.
What You Bring
- LLB degree (must have graduated upper second class – we will not consider application below this)

- Good drafting and research ability (at your level)
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to stay organised and follow through
- Clear written and oral communication
- Growth mindset – eager to learn, work hard and grow.
What You Will Gain
- Real training: not theory
- Exposure to live client work, regulators, and business decisions
- A deep understanding of how law operates in practice in Africa
- The opportunity to build a strong professional foundation early
- An opportunity for sponsorship of further legal education upon satisfaction of requirements
Important
- This is a full-time, on-site role in Tanzania
- It is a demanding environment, but one that will accelerate your growth
Read Carefully
If you are looking for comfort and “business as usual”, this role is not for you. Equally, if you are not ready for hard work and to get pushed hard, then this is not a role for you.
If you are looking for a place where you will be pushed, trained, exposed to real work, and expected to rise quickly, then this is an opportunity that can shape your entire career.
At Shikana, we are building more than a company. We are building a platform that connects law, capital, and Africa’s future.
We are not looking for the most experienced candidate. We are looking for the right mindset.
If you are serious about becoming exceptional, we want to hear from you.
