Group Lending Supervisor Position
We invite suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Group Lending Supervisor. The successful candidates will be responsible for managing the area portfolio and ensuring targets are achieved in line with organizational objectives, overseeing team operations, supervising area staff, and focusing on risk management and effectiveness of the area.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing the team monthly, quarterly, and yearly target plans and conducting monthly meetings with the team.
- Following up and visiting at least two groups per month.
- Preparing and following up on community organizers’ daily activities, both in the field and office, and verifying member admission, loan schemes, and necessary paper documents as per requirements.
- Facilitating auditing, monitoring, and review, and liaising with local government and other organizations in the area.
- Checking collection sheets.
- Guiding and supervising community organizers to ensure quality member recruitment and disbursement targets are met.
- Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports and issuing them to the respective supervisor.
- Actively supervising the loan disbursement process.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Technical Certification/Diploma in any field from a recognized institution.
- 5 years of work experience in group lending, with 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Good understanding of economic activities and consumer behavior in the microlending space.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Results-oriented with good time management and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Swahili.
