TPC Ltd is one of the respected sugar producing companies in Tanzania. The company is situated at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, 22kms south of Moshi Municipality. Applications are invited from qualified, energetic, proactive, and dynamic Tanzanians to fill the following vacant position.
Job Summary Statement
Driver Front End Loader will be responsible for safely operating front-end loader equipment to transport materials such as bagasse and other factory resources within the factory premises. The operator will also assist in stockpiling and loading of raw materials, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of the sugar production process.
Key Performance Areas (Duties & Responsibilities)
- Safely operate a front-end loader to move materials (bagasse) from stockpiles to processing areas or loading docks.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished products as needed, ensuring proper placement and minimizing product loss or spillage.
- Ensure that the loader equipment is in good working condition, performing daily checks and reporting any maintenance issues or malfunctions.
- Work closely with other team members to ensure the timely delivery and movement of materials to meet production goals.
- Follow all safety protocols and operational procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Assist in stockpiling materials and performing general yard maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of materials moved, machine usage, and any maintenance performed.
- Monitor the operation for potential safety hazards and report any unsafe conditions.
- Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of the loader and other equipment.
- Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by his/her Superior.
Academic Qualifications
Holder of a valid front-end loader certification or driving certificate from a recognized institutions. At least 2 years working experience as Front loader operator with a valid driving license.
Work Experience
- Proven experience as a Front-End Loader Operator, preferably in a manufacturing, agriculture, or industrial environment.
- Familiarity with safety standards and protocols in a Factory or industrial setting.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Attention to details and ability to observe safety protocols.
- Good physical condition for handling manual tasks as part of the transport process.
Behavioural Competencies
- Being reliable and possess a good work ethic.
- Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination.
- Alignment to TPC Core Values.
