Responsibilities or duties
- Provide diagnosis and treatment of oral and dental diseases.
- Deliver and supervise oral health education programs.
- Promote oral health within healthcare facilities and communities.
- Perform restorative dentistry, oral surgery, prosthetics, and orthodontic procedures.
- Supervise subordinate staff.
- Investigate, monitor, and prevent disease outbreaks.
- Teach students in health training institutions.
- Design and conduct research and disseminate findings.
- Develop strategies to improve oral healthcare quality.
- Prepare plans and budgets for oral health services.
- Participate in quality assurance and healthcare improvement initiatives.
- Conduct outreach services within districts and regions.
- Maintain and utilize health statistics according to MTUHA guidelines.
- Plan and evaluate oral health services.
- Conduct research related to oral health.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Applicants must possess:
- A Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree from a government-recognized institution.
- Completion of internship training.
- Registration with the Tanganyika Medical Council.
- Provide diagnosis and treatment of oral and dental diseases.

- Promote oral health within healthcare facilities and communities.
