The Technical Analyst – Preventative Maintenance position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced engineering professionals to support the reliability and efficiency of farm and production equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and managing preventive maintenance systems aimed at reducing equipment downtime, improving operational performance, extending machinery lifespan, and ensuring smooth agricultural production processes.
Responsibilities
The Technical Analyst – Preventative Maintenance will oversee maintenance planning, equipment performance analysis, team supervision, safety compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure optimal equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Develop and implement a structured preventative maintenance program for farm and production equipment
- Ensure minimal equipment breakdowns and reduce operational downtime
- Optimize the reliability and performance of farm and industrial machinery
- Conduct performance analysis of machinery and equipment to identify improvement opportunities
- Analyze trends, equipment failures, and operational inefficiencies
- Prepare technical reports, maintenance records, and performance documentation
- Provide data-driven recommendations to improve equipment performance and maintenance processes
- Lead, train, mentor, and supervise maintenance teams to achieve operational objectives
- Promote discipline, efficiency, and technical competence among maintenance staff
- Monitor spare parts inventory and maintain adequate stock levels for critical components
- Coordinate timely procurement and replenishment of spare parts with procurement and technical teams
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards during maintenance activities
- Enforce safe maintenance practices and adherence to company procedures
- Maintain compliance with statutory regulations and company policies
- Support the Technical Manager in environmental management activities related to farm operations
- Promote sustainable and efficient farming practices through proper equipment utilization
- Ensure all equipment operations align with environmental sustainability standards
Qualifications
Applicants should possess strong technical expertise in equipment maintenance, analytical skills, and leadership capabilities to effectively manage maintenance systems and support operational excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in equipment maintenance with a strong focus on preventative maintenance systems
- Proven experience in predictive maintenance systems and industrial or agricultural equipment maintenance
- Strong technical understanding of farm and industrial equipment operations
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and climate control technologies
- Expertise in mechanical and electrical systems maintenance
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret technical data and prepare comprehensive technical reports
- Leadership experience with strong team supervision and mentoring abilities
- Strong commitment to occupational health, safety, and regulatory compliance
