Niajiri Platform Ltd is seeking a motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented Statistics Volunteer Trainee to join its team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

This internship offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain practical experience in data collection, statistical analysis, reporting, and data-driven decision-making. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced professionals to support research, monitoring, evaluation, and business analytics initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and organize data from various sources.
• Assist in conducting statistical analyses and interpreting findings.
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support decision-making.
• Support data quality assurance and validation processes.
• Assist in designing surveys, questionnaires, and data collection tools.
• Maintain accurate databases and statistical records.
• Support research, monitoring, and evaluation activities.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Applied Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Recent graduate from the Class of 2025.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Basic knowledge of statistical software such as SPSS, STATA, R, Python, or similar analytical tools is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
