Sun King are looking for someone who truly knows social media and the science behind what works. You should be social media savvy, creative, and comfortable bringing ideas to life both behind and in front of the camera.

The ideal candidate knows how platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp work and is comfortable filming, editing, and posting content directly from a phone. They enjoy experimenting with fresh ideas, have a good sense of humor, and are excited by testing content to discover what resonates most with audiences.

Strong people skills are essential, alongside the ability to comfortably engage with customers, partners, and team members while creating content. The role also calls for someone adaptable who can adjust ideas quickly, especially while working in the field.

Above all, the role requires someone with a strong eye for storytelling who can make even technical topics, such as renewable energy, relatable and interesting to a niche audience. You’ll be the creative mind behind the posts, reels, memes, and videos that showcase how our products bring light, community, and energy into people’s lives.

Responsibilities or duties

Content Creation & Production

Assist in filming, capturing, and editing high-quality social media content with minimal supervision, bringing creativity, originality, and a strong storytelling approach to our channels.

Cross-Department Coordination

Work closely with various departments to develop engaging content around social media moments, company culture, and key calendar events such as Customer Service Week (CSW) and other social holidays.

Event Coverage

Assist the marketing team in covering activations such as roadshows, expos, product showcases, and other field activities by capturing dynamic, real-time content. This means you’ll spend time in the field and should be open to travel.

Campaign Participation

Contribute to brainstorming sessions and planning discussions for marketing and social media campaigns, helping shape creative ideas from concept to execution.

Content Repurposing

Capture and collect raw video assets that can be repurposed into high-performing short-form content such as Reels, TikToks, and other platform-specific formats.

Trend-Based Content Creation

Create native social media content that reflects trending topics, sounds, and formats to improve reach, engagement, and platform relevance.

Community Engagement

Follow up on customer care (CC) replies and assist in audience engagement to ensure timely, consistent, and brand-aligned interactions.

Platform Growth

Maintain consistency across new and existing platforms through trend participation, creative content creation, and audience engagement activities.

Reporting & Channel Insights

Track and provide updates on the performance of the channels you manage with the social media team and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications or requirements

Experience needed

  • 1–3 years of experience in social media content creation, digital marketing, or content production, either within an agency or in-house environment.
  • Experience managing or contributing to a brand’s TikTok, WhatsApp, Instagram, or Facebook presence.
  • Experience covering live events such as activations, roadshows, expos, or field marketing campaigns.

Skills

  • A strong portfolio or personal social media page that highlights creative content work.
  • Familiarity with social media reporting tools including platform insights, Meta Business Suite, and TikTok channel insights.
  • Familiarity with mobile editing tools such as CapCut, InShot, or related applications.

Any other provided details

Exposure to consumer brands, tech products, or mission-focused organisations will be an added advantage.
