Job summary
Tabono Consult Limited is looking for a Site Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure the smooth and efficient execution of work activities at the project site.
The role involves managing site personnel, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations, facilitating communication, and contributing to a positive and productive working environment.
Key responsibilities
The Site Manager will be responsible for:
- Preparing and managing job cards and timesheets and ensuring that they are completed accurately for all site workers.
- Processing and preparing accurate payroll information and submitting it to the Accounts Relations Manager.
- Monitoring and enforcing proper time-management practices among workers during working hours.
- Ensuring that all site activities and worker conduct comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Facilitating the signing of employment contracts and ensuring that new employees complete all required documentation.
- Issuing warning letters to employees who demonstrate unacceptable behaviour, in accordance with company procedures.
- Issuing end-of-contract letters to employees whose contracts have expired.
- Providing language translation between local workers and Chinese supervisors to support clear and effective communication.
- Acting as a point of contact for workers’ concerns and facilitating communication with the relevant departments.
- Listening to and addressing employee problems and grievances in accordance with company rules and regulations.
- Fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
- Conducting onboarding processes for new workers joining the project.
- Ensuring that new workers are familiar with site procedures and company policies.
- Providing employment contracts to new workers and ensuring that all terms and conditions are clearly understood.
- Preparing and submitting comprehensive weekly reports covering site activities, progress, and relevant issues.
- Ensuring that workers have access to necessary health services, including arranging medical attention and sending injured workers to the hospital when required.
- Advertising available positions or informing local authorities to help identify qualified candidates when job openings arise.
- Performing any other duties assigned by supervisors to support the achievement of project goals.
Education and training requirements
Applicants should have:
- A diploma or degree in Human Resource Management or an equivalent educational qualification.
- Formal training in construction basics, safety, or specific trades would be beneficial.
Skills and competencies

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
