Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) presents an exciting opportunity for a Process Operator, to join the Manufacturing team at CCBA in Mbeya , Tanzania. The role will report to the Production Team Leader
The primary role of the process operator is the operation process of equipment according to work instructions and execution of destructive & non-destructive quality checks. As a Process Operator, you have a primary focus on the quality at source and all related control activities of the team.
Responsibilities
- Operating the process equipment according to work instructions and adhering to usage standards.
- Carrying out the required quality checks as described in the quality control and analysis work practice.
- Recording waste on the appropriate documentation or information systems and reviewing waste trends to identify and resolve problems or opportunities timeously.
- Constantly reviewing process performance against target and completing all short interval control documentation.
- Responding rapidly to upstream or downstream triggers that result in stoppages.
- Performing housekeeping tasks, applying 5s principles, and following safe work practices.
- Identifying, reporting, and correcting unsafe work practices
- Carrying out deep cleaning, lubrication, and inspection of machines according to the work instructions and following the schedules as per the maintenance plan.
- Carrying out autonomous maintenance activities according to the work instructions and following the maintenance schedule.
- Conduct breakdown maintenance tasks and participate in problem-solving activities.
- Applying the appropriate situational problem-solving techniques (e.g., 5Why, quick fix routines, OPL’s (One Point Lessons) etc.) to identify and correct the problem.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum requirement: Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or any other related field
- Added advantage: Computer and technical skills
- All aspects of Food processing operations and process control
Competencies
- Ability to work in teams
- Understanding of the application of WCM foundational practices
- Troubleshooting skills
- Quality control practices and principles
- Bottling principles and processes
- Product handling knowledge
- Computer knowledge
- Understanding of SHE policies and procedures
