Job Summary

The Optometrist provides comprehensive eye care services, including vision assessment, diagnosis of visual disorders, treatment planning, and preventive eye health education. The role supports early detection and management of eye conditions to improve patients' vision and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments.
• Diagnose refractive errors and common eye conditions.
• Prescribe corrective lenses and visual aids.
• Manage and monitor patients with eye disorders within scope of practice.
• Refer patients requiring specialized ophthalmic care.
• Educate patients on eye health and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and examination findings.
• Operate and maintain optometry equipment.
• Ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
• Participate in community eye health promotion initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Doctor of Optometry (OD) or equivalent qualification.
• Valid practicing license.
• Minimum of 2 years' clinical experience.
• Strong clinical assessment and patient communication skills.
• Commitment to quality and ethical patient care.
