Job Summary

The Registered Nurse Midwife provides comprehensive nursing and midwifery care to women throughout pregnancy, labor, childbirth, and the postnatal period. The role promotes maternal and newborn health by delivering safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care while supporting reproductive health services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, and newborn care.
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being during pregnancy and labor.
• Assist in normal deliveries and recognize complications requiring referral.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Educate mothers and families on maternal and child health.
• Maintain accurate nursing and maternity records.
• Support family planning and reproductive health services.
• Participate in emergency obstetric care when required.
• Ensure infection prevention and patient safety standards are maintained.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver quality care.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Midwifery.
• Registered with the relevant Nursing Council.
• Valid practicing license.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in nursing and maternity services.
• Excellent clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Compassionate approach to patient care.
