Job Description

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and problem-solving HR Officer to manage local human resource operations across our regional sites. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for staff management, employee relations, and administrative support in a designated branch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment, screening, interviewing, onboarding, and orientation for site-specific hires.
  • Serve as the main liaison for local staff regarding workplace policies, grievances, attendance, and benefits.
  • Track local daily attendance, leave requests, and maintain accurate, up-to-date physical and digital employee personnel records.
  • Assist with monthly payroll data preparation, verifying overtime, allowances, and statutory deduction details.
  • Monitor probation periods, schedule evaluations, and support managers with performance improvement plans.
  • Facilitate disciplinary or grievance procedures in strict compliance with Tanzanian labor laws and internal guidelines.
  • Ensure health, safety, and operational workplace standards are maintained across the local facility.
  • Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives to maintain morale and lower turnover at the branch level.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly HR activity reports for head office review, tracking key staff metrics and operational needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in an HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of the labor laws and local statutory regulations.
  • Exceptional communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be resident in or willing to relocate to the applied location (Arusha, Mwanza, or Mbeya).
