JOB DETAILS:
Gardener
Department: Garden
Reports To: Garden Supervisor
Job Purpose
Maintain the hotel's gardens, lawns, trees, flowers, and landscaped areas to provide an attractive, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Plant, water, prune, and fertilize trees, flowers, shrubs, and lawns.
- Remove weeds and maintain flower beds.
- Mow lawns and trim hedges.
- Collect and dispose of garden waste.
- Apply fertilizers and approved pesticides as instructed.
- Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment.
- Report signs of plant disease or pest infestation.
- Assist with landscaping projects.
- Maintain cleanliness of all outdoor landscaped areas.
- Follow environmental, health, and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Secondary School Certificate.
- Certificate in Horticulture or Gardening is an advantage.
- Minimum 1 year of gardening or landscaping experience is preferred.
