Mbeya Cement Company Limited, a member of Amsons Group, is seeking to recruit a highly motivated Electrical Technician to be based at the Mbeya Plant under a permanent employment contract. The reporting line for the position is to the Team Leader.

Main Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical/electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
• Troubleshoot malfunctioning electrical systems using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of breakdowns and resolve faults.
• Diagnose electrical circuit breakers, transformers, and other components to ensure they operate at full capacity.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and repair requirements, and rectify all findings according to standards.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuitry in electrical equipment and fixtures using testing devices to ensure system compatibility and safety.
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, install ground leads, and connect power cables to equipment such as motors.

Qualifications

• Education: Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum three (3) years of experience in manufacturing or extractive industries.
