Clinical Officers

Number of Posts

Five (5)

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Examining, diagnosing, and managing patients according to national treatment guidelines.
  • Prescribing appropriate medications and treatment plans.
  • Providing emergency medical care and first aid services.
  • Referring patients to higher levels of care where necessary.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and medical documentation.
  • Participating in health promotion, disease prevention, and patient education activities.
  • Collaborating effectively with other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensuring adherence to professional ethics, hospital policies, and Ministry of Health guidelines.
  • Performing any other duties as assigned by the Medical Officer In-Charge.

Qualifications

Applicants must:

  • Hold a Diploma in Clinical Medicine from a recognized institution.
  • Be registered with the Medical Council of Tanganyika (MCT).
  • Possess a valid Practicing Licence.
  • Have good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be computer literate.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and commitment to patient care.

Experience

  • Previous working experience in a hospital or health facility is an added advantage. Fresh graduates with valid registration and practicing license are encouraged to apply.
