Africa Investors Link Limited is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Lead to drive commercial partnerships and growth.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Manage and convert qualified leads into signed commercial partnerships.
  • Drive the full business development cycle from prospecting, meetings, and negotiations to onboarding.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants, enterprise clients, financial institutions, and strategic partners.
  • Present DigiCash products and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear manner.
  • Collaborate with product, operations, and technical teams to ensure successful partner integrations.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, reporting, and CRM updates for all business opportunities.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, partnership discussions, and contract follow-ups.
  • Participate in revenue reviews and provide regular pipeline updates to leadership.
  • Identify market opportunities, customer needs, and industry trends to support commercial strategy.
  • Ensure structured follow-ups and professional communication across all engagements.

Qualifications or requirements 

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Partnerships, or Account Management.
  • Experience in Fintech, Banking, Telecom, or Payments sectors.
  • Strong understanding of digital payments, APIs, collections, disbursements, and financial systems.
  • Established network within the Tanzanian fintech, banking, enterprise, or government ecosystem is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills in English and Swahili.
  • Proven ability to manage and close B2B partnerships.
  • Strong ability to work with technical, operational, and leadership teams.
  • Excellent organizational and pipeline management skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex financial and technical concepts for business stakeholders.
  • Experience with payment gateways, mobile money, or banking integrations.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and structured sales processes.
  • Experience managing enterprise or government-level partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of Tanzania’s fintech and regulatory environment.
  • Experience in high-growth startups or fast-paced tech companies is an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of API-based financial products and integrations.
