Key responsibilities
Court & Tribunal Representation: Attend matters in various courts, Commission for Mediation and Arbitration (CMA), District Land and Housing Tribunal and other Tribunals.
Pleadings & Legal Drafting: Draft pleadings, motions, and other necessary court documents for various legal proceedings.
Registries: Assist clients with matters related to company and land registries, including filing and lodging documents, conducting search and making necessary follow-ups.
Legal Opinions: Draft and issue well-researched legal opinions as required by clients and the Partners of the Firm.
Partner Assistance: Provide dedicated support to specific Partners as assigned, assisting with legal research, case preparation, and other tasks as needed.
Additional Duties: Perform other legal duties as assigned by the Firm’s Partners, contributing to the overall success and growth of the Firm.
Qualifications & requirements
- LL. B degree from a recognized university.
- Admission as an Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania and Courts subordinate thereto.
- 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in a reputable law firm or legal department.
- Proven experience in civil litigation or practice in mining or corporate or business laws.
- Excellent legal drafting and research skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of professionalism and commitment to serve clients.
