The Key purpose of this role is to lead the Packaging shift team in the execution of the production plan, executing quality control and analyses, carrying out autonomous maintenance tasks, and resolving production problems.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, healthy and risk free work environment
- Ensure adherence safety, health and environmental legislation and procedures
- Maintain safety and housekeeping standards
- Facilitate Sustainable Development initiatives
- Develop production plan
- Co-ordinate Autonomous Operations(ATO)
- Monitor production processes
- Communicate, interpret and implement production plan
- Support the team to improve process quality, hygiene and productivity
- Implement Target Setting and Cascading with in the team
- Facilitate effective team dynamics (participative team meetings, one on one, team communication, team building, team maturity, respect /discipline, respect for code of conduct, team vision/mission, conflict handling, improve trust levels in the team)
- Communicate effectively in the workplace (within team, & other internal/external customers/suppliers)
- Apply problem solving and decision making techniques and principles including situational problem solving-Problem identification, Problem definition, QFR application, 5 WHY, Loop closure & Escalation.
- Participate in systemic problem solving (Loss and Waste, ABR and PDCA & ITFs)
- Support the overall Packaging team initiatives and arrangements
- Develop employees through facilitating learning and development of team Members; SKAP
- Manage and apply personnel processes in line with the company procedure
- Ensure a healthy industrial relations climate between the employees and the company
- Lead Packaging shift team production activities in accordance with the VPO principles and Practices
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree – Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Instrumental, Chemical & Process Engineering.
- Completed Packaging traineeship, ABInBev Leadership or Artisan Training.
- At least 3–5 years’ factory production experience.
- Demonstrated experience in shift production.
- A superior performance track record indicating a disciplined work ethic with passion for problem solving and continuous improvement.
