JOB DETAILS:

Steward

Department: Stewarding

Reports To: Steward Shift Leader

Job Purpose

Clean, sanitize, and maintain kitchen utensils, equipment, crockery, cutlery, glassware, and food preparation areas while supporting kitchen and restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Operate dishwashing machines safely and efficiently.
• Clean kitchen floors, walls, workstations, and storage areas.
• Collect and dispose of waste according to hotel procedures.
• Organize and store clean kitchen equipment.
• Assist with receiving and storing kitchen supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness of garbage and recycling areas.
• Support banquet and restaurant operations with equipment setup.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and health & safety standards.
• Report damaged equipment or maintenance needs.

Qualifications

• Secondary School Certificate.
• Previous stewarding or cleaning experience is an advantage.
