The key purpose of this role is to operate and maintain the packaging process in order to achieve optimal equipment effectiveness.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
The Process Operator will be responsible for the following duties:
- Carrying out machine operations, including start-up, shutdown, running, and related activities.
- Performing brand pack changes.
- Carrying out autonomous maintenance.
- Regularly checking equipment to ensure correct setup and operation.
- Monitoring process performance.
- Supporting the development, training, and coaching of operational teams to ensure optimal operation.
- Assisting in problem-solving processes related to the specific process area.
- Providing knowledge in continuous improvement activities aimed at improving process capability within the specific plant or process area.
- Coaching and assessing staff as required.
- Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Ability to work shifts.
- Summative assessment on at least two machines.
- At least 3 years of experience working in a packaging process environment.
- Active team player.
- Vigilance and quickness to take action.
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- Manual dexterity.
- Proven SAB track record or prior performance.
