Job Summary:

The HR Specialist supports the development and implementation of human resources strategies that attract, develop, and retain a high-performing hospitality workforce. The role manages key HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training coordination, labor compliance, and employee engagement to support smooth resort operations and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support recruitment and staffing plans for all resort departments, including Front Office, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Engineering, Recreation, Spa, and Security.
  • Manage the recruitment lifecycle, including workforce planning, job postings, candidate screening, interviews, reference checks, and onboarding.
  • Develop and maintain employee records, HR systems, and personnel files in compliance with company policies.
  • Support the creation and implementation of hotel HR policies, procedures, and employee guidelines.
  • Provide HR guidance to department managers on employee relations, disciplinary procedures, attendance, and performance matters.
  • Coordinate employee performance appraisal processes and support career development initiatives.
  • Assist in designing employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and workplace culture activities.
  • Support hospitality training programs, including service standards, guest relations, and departmental skills training.
  • Monitor compliance with labor laws, hotel standards, and company regulations.
  • Assist with workforce scheduling, staffing levels, and manpower planning during peak and low seasons.
  • Prepare HR reports, employee statistics, and management updates.
  • Support employee welfare programs, accommodation arrangements (where applicable), and staff events.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field.
  • 3+ years of HR experience, preferably within a hotel, resort, or hospitality environment.
  • Knowledge of hospitality staffing practices and labor regulations.
  • Strong understanding of employee relations and HR operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
