DPT Company Limited is a company specializing in Electrical, Mechanical, and ICT services. We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Crane Operator to join our Logistics Department.
Job Summary
The Crane Operator will be responsible for operating cranes safely and efficiently in lifting, moving, loading, and unloading various materials and cargo. The role also involves conducting pre-operational equipment inspections and ensuring proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate cranes safely while complying with all operational and safety procedures.
- Conduct daily inspections of cranes and related equipment before commencing work.
- Lift, lower, and move loads accurately and carefully.
- Perform minor maintenance and preliminary inspections of crane mechanical systems and other equipment.
- Support mechanical activities in company projects when required.
- Drive company vehicles for official duties as instructed by the employer.
- Use the required PPE at all times while performing assigned duties.
- Report any equipment faults or operational issues to the relevant supervisor.
- Ensure Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards are consistently maintained.
- Perform any other related duties assigned by the employer.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in crane operation.
- Knowledge and skills in mechanical maintenance.
- Valid driving license of the legally required class.
- Good driving record and understanding of road safety regulations.
- Good knowledge of workplace health and safety practices.
- Honest, attentive, disciplined, and able to work under pressure.
- A recognized Crane Operation Certificate from an accredited institution will be an added advantage.
