Job Purpose:

To prepare nutritious, high-quality, and varied meals in large quantities for the site workforce, adhering to strict food safety and hygiene standards in a remote camp environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks according to menus and production schedules.
• Cook in large batches using industrial kitchen equipment.
• Ensure all food preparation and storage meets HACCP and company health & safety standards.
• Maintain excellent cleanliness and sanitation in all kitchen work areas.
• Assist with inventory control, stock rotation, and receiving of goods.
• Adhere to special dietary requirements as directed (e.g., allergies, religious).
• Work effectively as part of a team in a high-pressure kitchen environment.
• Follow instructions from the Head Chef and assist with training kitchen attendants.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Relevant catering certificate or diploma from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a cook, with experience in institutional, camp, or hotel catering highly preferred.
• Valid Food Handler’s Certificate.
• Ability to work long hours and rotating shifts.
• Physically fit to handle the demands of a busy industrial kitchen.
