JOB DETAILS:

Tunduru District Council is seeking to fill 02 posts for Pharmaceutical Technician II.

Responsibilities or duties

• Identify, prepare and estimate requirements for medicines and medical supplies in the workplace.
• Dispense medicines and medical supplies to patients and clients.
• Mix and prepare medicines.
• Store medicines and medical supplies properly.
• Educate the community on the proper use of medicines.
• Receive medicines, chemicals, disinfectants and medical supplies.
• Provide information on adverse effects resulting from medicine use.
• Coordinate the activities of the hospital medicines committee.
• Prepare reports on the use of medicines and medical supplies.
• Conduct quality assurance inspections on medicines, chemicals, disinfectants and medical supplies.
• Perform various duties in medicine storage areas.
• Supervise subordinate staff.
• Maintain records for medicines and medical supplies.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor according to qualifications, experience and expertise.
