JOB DETAILS:
Dar es Salaam Maritime Institute (DMI) is seeking to fill the position of Technician II – Electrical. This is an internship placement programme aimed at skills enhancement. Completion of the internship does not guarantee permanent employment with the Dar es Salaam Maritime Institute.
Responsibilities or duties
- Carry out specified tasks related to electrical simulators, workshops, laboratory practicals, students’ projects, research, consultancy, offices, classes, and services under close supervision.
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of electrical simulators, workshops, and laboratory facilities.
- Assist senior staff in related areas of electrical operations.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications or requirements
- Full Technician Certificate (FTC) in Electrical Engineering; or
- Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
