JOB DETAILS:

Dar es Salaam Maritime Institute (DMI) is seeking a Technician II – Civil for a 1 Post opening. This is an internship placement programme aimed at skills enhancement. Completion of the internship does not guarantee permanent employment with the Dar es Salaam Maritime Institute.

Responsibilities or duties

• Carry out specified tasks related to civil engineering/construction workshops or laboratory practicals, students’ projects, research, consultancy, and services under close supervision.
• Assist in the repair and maintenance of civil engineering workshops and laboratory facilities.
• Assist senior staff in related areas of civil engineering operations.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications or requirements 

• Full Technician Certificate (FTC); or
• Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.

   Result slips, testimonials, and partial transcripts will not be accepted.
6. Foreign Certificates
   Applicants who studied outside Tanzania must ensure that their certificates are verified and evaluated by the relevant authorities, such as TCU or NECTA, as applicable.
