JOB DETAILS:

• Description: The Logistics Specialist ensures the efficient movement of agricultural inputs from warehouses to field locations across Tanzania. Based in Iringa, you will manage a team of Senior Warehouse Supervisors and Coordinators, oversee transport and delivery, and optimize logistics operations. Reporting to the Supply Chain and Operations Senior Manager, this role is key to supporting farmer-facing teams.
• Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate transportation of goods from suppliers to customers.
  • Plan and optimize logistics operations, including route planning and inventory management.
  • Resolve logistics issues like shipment delays or inventory discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and customer service teams.
  • Develop reports and metrics to measure logistics performance.
• Qualifications and Experience:
  • 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of logistics software (e.g., TMS, WMS).
  • Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CCLS, CLTD).
  • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance (e.g., customs, tariffs).
