The bank is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Strategy Manager – Corporate Investments to join its team in Dar es Salaam on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and evaluating strategic growth opportunities, supporting mergers and acquisitions activities, conducting investment analysis, and contributing to the development and execution of corporate investment strategies aligned with the bank’s long-term objectives.
Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate strategic growth opportunities, including mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
- Conduct market research and analysis to assess market and industry trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement corporate investment initiatives aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Support the overall transaction process for potential M&A opportunities, including identification and qualification of opportunities, due diligence, valuation, and deal structuring.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders throughout transaction processes.
- Prepare and present analyses and strategic recommendations to Management, Board members, and other key stakeholders to support decision-making.
- Provide strategic support to existing corporate investments to drive sustainable value creation.
- Monitor industry developments and integrate relevant trends into corporate strategies where appropriate.
- Support the Senior Manager Corporate Development in managing, developing, and mentoring corporate development professionals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in banking, finance, or accounting within transaction advisory, investment analysis, corporate finance, management consulting, or related fields.
- Understanding of the financial regulatory environment and knowledge of the banking sector in East Africa.
- Experience in investment appraisals, valuation, deal analysis, research, and financial modelling.
- Strong technical expertise in financial analysis, investment evaluation, modelling, valuations, and strategic planning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and industry standards.
- Strong presentation and stakeholder relationship management skills.
