About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Senior Sales Manager – East Africa to drive new business development, partnerships, and B2G opportunities while expanding our GEO & LEO presence in East Africa.

This role involves close collaboration with Logistics, Finance, Pre-Sales, Legal, Marketing, Project Management, and Business Operations teams — playing a pivotal role in driving growth and innovation in the region.

Who You Are

Commercially experienced: Deep understanding of the East African telecom and B2B market, including positioning satellite (GEO & LEO) solutions for real business needs such as cellular backhauling.

Well-connected: Strong relationships with decision-makers in Telcos, ISPs, and government agencies; ability to influence and build trust.

Execution-focused: Fast-moving, hands-on, and results-oriented with precision in partner onboarding and execution.

Analytical & data-driven: Skilled in using reporting tools to guide strategy and forecast growth.

Independent yet collaborative: Comfortable operating autonomously across multiple countries while aligning with HQ and regional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

Achieve revenue targets and expand GEO business (Ku, C, Ka, and Konnect WiFi) in East Africa.

  • Build and nurture partnerships for upcoming LEO (OneWeb) services with Telcos, ISPs, B2B Integrators, and Governmental Agencies.
  • Identify key customers, onboard them efficiently, and prepare for rapid market entry.
  • Lead negotiations and close high-value deals.

Account Management

  • Manage and grow strategic accounts, ensuring alignment with goals and objectives.
  • Support key accounts in developing their pipelines and ensuring business continuity.
  • Monitor activities and performance metrics to sustain consistent growth.

Reporting & Planning

  • Maintain strong CRM management and timely, accurate reporting.
  • Contribute to regional strategy and planning cycles.
  • Provide market intelligence and propose new actions, products, and offerings to maintain competitiveness.

Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with government authorities and other stakeholders to enhance awareness of Konnect and OneWeb at national and regional levels.

What You’ll Need

  • Proven experience in telecom and satellite sales across East African markets.
  • Track record of success in sales leadership and account management.
  • Familiarity with GEO, LEO, Ka, Ku, and C-band technologies.
  • Experience engaging government stakeholders is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Independent, proactive, and highly motivated professional.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Team spirit and readiness to take on new challenges.

Where You’ll Work

Remote – preferably based in East Africa.
