Role Overview:

To safeguard SBL’s assets, property, products, and information. You will be responsible for strategic oversight to prevent theft or misuse while ensuring full compliance with legal standards and Diageo’s global safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategy & Policy

Develop and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures.

Monitor adherence to standards and address protocol breaches immediately.

2. Intelligence & Investigations

Intelligence: Collect and analyze market and industrial security intelligence to provide senior management with proactive insights.

Investigations: Lead inquiries into serious crimes or incidents.

Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for law enforcement, legal teams, and government authorities.

3. Operational Management

Risk & Safety: Enforce rigorous risk management and champion a “safety first” culture.

Contractor Oversight: Manage and evaluate the performance of third-party security contractors to ensure they meet contractual obligations.

4. Leadership & Compliance

Team Development: Mentor the internal security team and provide training in modern security practices.

Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on incidents, resolutions, and strategic recommendations for the executive team.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education & Certifications

Primary: Diploma in conventional physical security and crime prevention.

Secondary: Diploma in advanced military police security operations.

Specialized Training: Firefighting, investigation, fraud awareness/prevention, and intelligence training.

Added Advantage: A University Degree in Security/Risk Management, Law, Criminal Justice, or Strategic Studies.

Experience

Tenure: 5–10 years of experience as a Senior Officer within a security company or department.

Background: Experience in Law Enforcement, Military, or Intelligence services is highly preferred.

Expertise: Deep knowledge of security risk assessments, strategy planning, and the legal/litigation process.
