LOGISTICS MANAGER

Job Summary

The Logistics Manager will oversee the movement, storage, and distribution of materials and finished products, ensuring efficient transportation and supply-chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate transportation and distribution activities.
• Manage the movement of raw materials, finished goods, and other company supplies.
• Coordinate logistics schedules with procurement, production, warehouse, and sales teams.
• Monitor delivery schedules and ensure timely distribution.
• Manage relationships with transporters, logistics providers, and other service partners.
• Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities for efficiency.
• Ensure proper documentation for shipments and deliveries.
• Track consignments and resolve transportation or delivery issues.
• Monitor warehouse and inventory movement where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with company logistics, safety, and operational procedures.
• Analyse logistics performance and prepare management reports.
• Supervise and coordinate logistics staff and service providers.
• Identify and manage potential supply-chain and transportation risks.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in logistics management, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of transportation and supply-chain operations.
• Excellent planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong supplier and stakeholder-management abilities.
• Good knowledge of logistics documentation and inventory processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant logistics systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
