LOGISTICS MANAGER
Job Summary
The Logistics Manager will oversee the movement, storage, and distribution of materials and finished products, ensuring efficient transportation and supply-chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate transportation and distribution activities.
- Manage the movement of raw materials, finished goods, and other company supplies.
- Coordinate logistics schedules with procurement, production, warehouse, and sales teams.
- Monitor delivery schedules and ensure timely distribution.
- Manage relationships with transporters, logistics providers, and other service partners.
- Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities for efficiency.
- Ensure proper documentation for shipments and deliveries.
- Track consignments and resolve transportation or delivery issues.
- Monitor warehouse and inventory movement where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with company logistics, safety, and operational procedures.
- Analyse logistics performance and prepare management reports.
- Supervise and coordinate logistics staff and service providers.
- Identify and manage potential supply-chain and transportation risks.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in logistics management, preferably in manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of transportation and supply-chain operations.
- Excellent planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supplier and stakeholder-management abilities.
- Good knowledge of logistics documentation and inventory processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant logistics systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
