Duties and Responsibilities
- To undertake an induction course in pedagogic skills for those who had none before;
- To undertake an induction course in pedagogic skills for those who had non before;
- To mentor junior staff in relevant fields;
- To participate /contribute in curriculum development;
- To participate in developing and managing various university/constituent college activities;
- To undertake research and publish/disseminate results;
- To carry out consultancy and community services;
- To write teaching manuals and compendia;
- To supervise field practicals, undergraduate special projects, Master and PhD dissertations/theses
- To attend/organize workshops, conferences and symposia’ and
- To perform any other duties that may be assigned by the relevant authorities
Qualifications
Holder of PhD in Bioinformatics, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biosciences and Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences or Agricultural Sciences, Master of Science in Bioinformatics, Master of Science in Molecular Biology, Master of Science in Microbiology and Immunology, Master of Science in Biotechnology or with a GPA of at least 4.0 out of 5.0 and a first degree in Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology, Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology, Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology and Laboratory Sciences, Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology and Bioinformatics or Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 5.0 from a recognized reputable university.
