The role ensures effective patrol systems, proactive fire management, and team readiness. Working to support Village Land Authorities, Tanzania Forest Services (TFS), and local government, the Manager will strengthen systems to maintain coverage, deter illegal activity, and enable rapid response.

Forest patrol and protection operations
The Forest Protection Manager will:

- Provide oversight and capacity support to village councils and VNRCs in the management of forest guards.
- Ensure timely detection and response to illegal activities.

Fire prevention and response
The Forest Protection Manager will:
- Develop and implement fire management plans covering prevention campaigns, preparedness, detection, and response.

- Demonstrated experience working with government forestry or wildlife authorities.
