About the job

We are looking for an experienced Fiber Technician with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in fiber optic installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities. The candidate should have strong knowledge of FTTH / OSP fiber networks, fiber splicing, OTDR testing, and preventive/corrective maintenance activities

Responsibilities

• Carry out fiber splicing for SM/MM fibers using fusion splicing machines.
• Conduct OTDR testing, power meter testing, and troubleshooting of fiber links.
• Handle preventive and corrective maintenance of fiber networks.
• Identify and rectify fiber faults, attenuation issues, and link failures.
• Install and maintain fiber joint closures, patch panels, ODFs, and related accessories.
• Ensure proper cable labeling, documentation, and route records.
• Follow safety procedures while working at poles and underground routes.
• Prepare daily work reports, test reports, and maintenance logs.
• Ensure quality standards and SLA compliance during field operations.

Requirements

• Diploma / BTech Technical Certification in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical, or related field.
• Fiber certification courses will be an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of fiber optic technologies and telecom infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with:
