JOB DETAILS:
EXCAVATOR OPERATOR
Job Purpose
To safely operate excavators for excavation, trenching, loading, land clearing and earthmoving operations.
Key Duties
- Conduct daily equipment inspections.
- Operate excavators according to site requirements.
- Excavate trenches, foundations and drainage channels.
- Load and move soil and other materials.
- Support land clearing and development activities.
- Work safely around people, vehicles and other machinery.
- Monitor machine performance.
- Report defects and maintenance requirements.
- Maintain equipment-operation records.
Qualifications & Experience
- Heavy-equipment operator qualification/licence.
- Proven excavator operating experience.
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 12
Level of Education: bachelor degree
