HR World Limited, on behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Electrical Engineers-(on site) responsible for overseeing maintenance activities, ensuring operational reliability, and supporting the efficient performance of large Caterpillar generator systems within a continuous 24/7 power generation environment.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Oversee Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), Corrective Maintenance, and Minor and Major Repairs on generators.
  • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are strictly followed in all maintenance activities carried out at the site.
  • Drive reliability improvement initiatives, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and failure prevention strategies.
  • Take the lead in performance data analysis and provide condition monitoring inputs to the CMA.
  • Monitor generator alarms and system malfunctions and take appropriate action.
  • Continuously monitor generator SMU and communicate PM and maintenance requirements.
  • Support load control and optimization to ensure efficient generator operation.
  • Lead generator system diagnosis and support minor and major repair activities.
  • Ensure maintenance activities are executed safely and efficiently.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications or requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Power/Energy Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience working with large Caterpillar generators or within a power generation environment operating on a continuous 24/7 basis.
  • Mandatory professional and proficient knowledge of Caterpillar large generator systems.
  • Proven experience in generator system operation, diagnosis, minor repairs, and major repairs.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Very good command of written and spoken English.
  • Very good computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
