RETOMINING Investment Limited is a Tanzanian mining and development company established in 2023 and headquartered in Msamvu Area, Morogoro. The company specializes in the production and distribution of high-quality granite aggregates from its mining operations in Mikese, Morogoro.
As part of strengthening our operational and community-engagement functions, we invite applications from suitably qualified, competent, and motivated Tanzanians for the position of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Officer.
Job Summary
The CSR Officer will be responsible for coordinating the Company’s corporate social responsibility, community engagement, stakeholder relations, and social-development activities in areas surrounding the Company’s mining operations.
The successful candidate will build and maintain constructive relationships with local communities, government authorities, community leaders, employees, and other stakeholders; coordinate community-development initiatives; monitor social impacts and community concerns; and support the Company’s commitment to responsible and sustainable mining practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. CSR & Community Project Management
- Develop and coordinate the implementation of the Company’s CSR and community-engagement programmes.
- Identify community needs and priority areas for potential CSR and community-development initiatives.
- Coordinate community projects in areas such as education, health, water, environment, livelihoods, infrastructure, and other approved development activities.
- Monitor the implementation and progress of CSR projects and ensure they are delivered transparently and professionally.
2. Stakeholder Engagement & Public Relations
- Establish and maintain constructive relationships with local communities, village leaders, local government authorities, institutions, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct community consultations, meetings, awareness activities, and stakeholder-engagement sessions.
- Maintain regular communication with community representatives and relevant authorities.
- Promote awareness of the Company’s activities, community commitments, and environmental/social initiatives.
- Coordinate Company participation in approved community events and development initiatives.
3. Grievance Management & Risk Mitigation
- Receive, document, and coordinate the resolution of community concerns, complaints, and grievances.
- Coordinate with technical and operational teams on social issues arising from mining activities.
- Assist in identifying and managing potential social risks associated with mining operations.
4. Reporting & Record Keeping
- Maintain an up-to-date stakeholder and community engagement database.
- Maintain accurate records of meetings, consultations, complaints, projects, beneficiaries, and CSR expenditures.
- Prepare periodic CSR, stakeholder-engagement, and community-relations reports for management.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Community Development, Sociology, Social Work, Development Studies, Environmental Management, Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Natural Resources Management, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Added Advantage: Relevant professional training in CSR, Community Relations, Stakeholder Engagement, or Social Impact Assessment.
Experience: Relevant practical experience in CSR, community development, stakeholder engagement, public relations, or social development.
Added Advantage: Prior experience in mining, quarrying, construction, infrastructure, or other extractive/industrial sectors.
Technical Skills: Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and strong technical report-writing abilities.
Field Capability: Willingness and ability to work regularly with local communities and travel to field locations.

- High integrity, fairness, confidentiality, cultural sensitivity, and respect for local communities.

- Accuracy and timeliness of CSR and stakeholder reports.
