Position Summary

Nyati Minerals Sands Limited is seeking to employ two qualified Chinese Translators to facilitate communication between Chinese expatriates and local staff, government authorities, and business partners. The successful candidates will provide both written translation and verbal interpretation services to support company operations.Africans & Diaspora

Qualifications Requirements

• Tertiary education qualification.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English, both spoken and written.
• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain professionalism.

Experience Requirements

1–2 years’ experience in translation of Mandarin Chinese and English.

Skills and Knowledge

• Excellent translation and interpretation abilities.
• Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Provide interpretation during meetings, site visits, and official engagements.
• Translate all official documents including reports, letters, contracts, technical documents, product manuals, safety protocols, operational guidelines, and official correspondence from Chinese language to English or Kiswahili as needed.
• Assist all Chinese staff, visitors, and contractors in communication with local employees, government officials, and other stakeholders.
• Support other departments in all administrative work and maintain confidentiality of company information.
• Assist in ensuring the accuracy, clarity, and cultural appropriateness in all translations between Chinese and Tanzanian employees.
• Act as a liaison for teams who need support with language barriers in both written and verbal communication.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
