JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary: The Yard Supervisor is responsible for the efficient, safe, and organized stacking and movement of containers and cargo within the storage yard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage the yard layout to maximize space utilization and efficiency.
- Supervise the yard team, including Forklift and Reach Stacker Operators.
- Monitor yard inventory and ensure its accuracy in the TOS.
- Coordinate with the gate and planning departments to prioritize container moves.
- Enforce strict safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment in the yard.
- Monitor equipment utilization and report any maintenance needs.
Qualifications & Experience: - High school diploma; additional technical training is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in yard operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of container stacking practices and equipment.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
