Job Purpose

To plan, coordinate, and manage all transportation activities to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement of goods while maintaining compliance with transport regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the company fleet and ensure vehicles are maintained, serviced, and roadworthy.
• Monitor vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, and transportation costs.
• Plan and coordinate transport routes and delivery schedules to ensure timely service.
• Oversee daily transport operations and resolve operational challenges.
• Supervise drivers and transport staff, including scheduling, performance management, and training.
• Ensure compliance with transport regulations, safety standards, licensing, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle documentation, permits, insurance, and inspections.
• Investigate transport incidents and implement corrective actions when required.
• Prepare transport budgets, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Analyze transport performance and prepare operational reports.
• Coordinate with internal departments and customers to ensure efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in transport, fleet, or logistics management.
• Experience managing drivers and fleet operations.
• Knowledge of transport management systems and GPS tracking technologies.
