Background
CCBRT (Comprehensive Community Based Rehabilitation in Tanzania) is seeking a creative and proactive Social Media Officer to manage and grow the organization’s digital presence. The role focuses on developing engaging online content that promotes hospital services, public health awareness, events, and community outreach activities while ensuring consistent branding and professional communication across all platforms.
The position involves managing social media accounts, creating multimedia content, monitoring engagement, and responding to public inquiries in a timely and professional manner. The Social Media Officer also supports digital campaigns and ensures that online communication aligns with CCBRT’s mission in healthcare and community rehabilitation.
Responsibilities
- Manage all CCBRT social media platforms and digital communication channels.
- Create, design, and publish approved content including photos, videos, posters, announcements, and health education materials.
- Support live coverage of hospital events, campaigns, and organizational activities.
- Monitor online engagement and respond to public inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all digital platforms.
- Track and analyze social media performance metrics such as reach, engagement, and follower growth.
- Develop content calendars and schedule posts across platforms.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather content for storytelling and campaigns.
- Support digital awareness campaigns and public health education initiatives.
- Maintain a professional tone when handling sensitive healthcare-related content.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Digital Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in social media management or digital communications.
- Experience in healthcare or NGO environments is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms and content management tools.
- Basic skills in photography, videography, and graphic design.
- Experience using Canva, Meta Business Suite, video editing tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to create engaging and audience-appropriate digital content.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
