Mkulazi Holding Company Limited (MHCL) is inviting qualified Tanzanians to apply for the position of Senior Raw Sugar Centrifugal Operator. The successful candidates will report to the Manufacturing Chemist and will be responsible for operating and monitoring centrifugal machines and supporting sugar production processes to ensure efficient separation, crystallization, and high-quality sugar output.

The role requires strong operational experience in centrifugal machine handling, process monitoring, and production control within a sugar manufacturing environment. The selected candidates will ensure stable operation of production equipment, accurate recording of process data, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities or duties

• Operating machinery and equipment in the sugar production process including juice extraction, clarification, evaporation, crystallization, and drying
• Monitoring process parameters and reporting deviations or abnormalities to senior technical staff
• Assisting in adjusting process controls to maintain product quality and improve efficiency
• Recording operational data such as temperatures, pressures, flow rates, and production quantities
• Conducting routine inspections and maintaining cleanliness and good housekeeping in the work area
• Participating in minor maintenance activities and reporting equipment faults
• Ensuring compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental standards
• Supporting quality assurance checks and inspections
• Assisting in troubleshooting operational issues and implementing corrective actions
• Supporting training of new operators and technicians as directed
• Ensuring proper shift handover and communication between teams
• Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

• Form Four (IV) certificate
• Strong understanding of centrifugal operations and sugar production processes
• Ability to monitor and control production parameters effectively
• Good teamwork, communication, and safety awareness skills

Experience needed

• Minimum of five (5) years working experience in batch centrifugal machine operations
• Experience in sugar processing or related industrial environments will be an added advantage

• Possession of National Sugar Institute (NSI) Certificate will be an added advantage
