SBC Tanzania Limited is a well-established and progressing multinational company that supplies soft drinks products nationwide. We have plants in Dar es Salaam, Mwanza, Arusha, and Mbeya. Currently, our Mbeya Plant seeks to urgently recruit qualified, experienced and finger-on-skilled personnel to fill the following position:
Position: Quality Assurance Officer (2 Positions)
Location: Mbeya Plant
Company conformity standards
Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision, interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers, work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments, work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordination work efforts with other employees.
Position summary
Coordinate, Testing and inspection of products at various stages of production process and complies and evaluates data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.
Key performance indicators (KPIs)
- SOP Implementation and knowledge on production line process.
- Knowledge of chemical testing and standardization methods.
- Ensure the products are produced as per beverages documents requirement.
- Carry out inspections on raw materials and packaging materials and approve as per requirements and maintain records for the same.
- Carry out regular plant audit to identify gaps in processes controls and carry out corrective actions.
- Carry out products market survey and test samples.
- Ensure assigned process operations are within specifications all the time.
- Recording or documenting accurate data of all analysis process compliance, inspections and observation of the line processes.
- Effective communication with maintenance and production team to ensure proper functioning of process control devices.
- Write a report to validate or indicate deviations from the existing standards.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Entry requirement
- Degree in Food Science & Technology or Related Field
- At least 2 years’ experience in related field.
- Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
- Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers.
- Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
- Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordination work efforts with other employees.
- Coordinate, Testing and inspection of products at various stages of production process.
- Compile and evaluate data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.
- Implement SOPs and demonstrate knowledge on production line process.
- Apply knowledge of chemical testing and standardization methods.
- Ensure the products are produced as per beverages documents requirement.
- Carry out inspections on raw materials and packaging materials and approve as per requirements.
- Maintain records for raw material and packaging material inspections.
- Carry out regular plant audits to identify gaps in process controls.
- Carry out corrective actions for identified gaps.
- Carry out products market surveys and test samples.
- Ensure assigned process operations are within specifications all the time.
- Record or document accurate data of all analysis process compliance, inspections and observation of the line processes.
- Communicate effectively with maintenance and production teams to ensure proper functioning of process control devices.
- Write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
