TENDER FOR PROCUREMENT OF BRAND-NEW TRUCKS: SPO MAIZE PROJECT TENDER NO. GNTZ/SPO/2025/005

1. Introduction

Good Neighbors Tanzania (GNTZ) is a registered non-governmental organization (NGO) operating in Tanzania since 2005, committed to improving lives through sustainable development and humanitarian assistance in sectors such as education, health, WASH, child protection, and economic empowerment.

This procurement is part of the Maize Project in Mbozi District, Songwe Region, implemented in collaboration with Mbozi Maize AMCOS and funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). The project aims to support maize farmers by enhancing logistics and post-harvest transport systems.

GNTZ invites eligible and reputable suppliers to submit sealed bids for the supply of two brand-new trucks.

2. Objective

To procure two high-quality trucks that meet the logistical needs of the Maize Project and comply with the specifications outlined in this document.

3. Items to Be Supplied

4. Minimum Technical Specifications Applicable to Both Trucks:

• Carrying Capacity: 3.5 MT and 5.0 MT
•  3.5MT Truck Displacement (CC)2,998
• 5 MT Displacement (CC 3500)
• Body Type: Drop-down or box body with two rear doors and side doors
• Engine Type: Diesel
• Transmission: Manual
• Radiator: Heavy-duty
• Torque: 1,800–3,000 Nm at 1,000–1,400 rpm
• Fuel Tank: Minimum 100 Litres
• Fuel System: Fuel water sedimentors
• Steering: Power
• Color: Any color
• Condition: Brand new truck
• Registration: Registered in Tanzania upon delivery
• Required Attachments: Brochure or catalog of proposed vehicle(s), Any vehicle type that meet indicated specification is acceptable

5. Supplier Eligibility Requirements

Suppliers must submit relevant and valid copies of the following:

• Company Profile
• Certificate of Registration/Incorporation
• Business License
• TIN Certificate
• VAT Registration Certificate

6. Bid Submission Requirements

Each bidder must submit the following:

• Submit a separate technical specifications form which meet the required specification
• Submit vehicle specification catalog for all or other specification available.
• Bid price per truck (sealed separately)
• Terms of payment terms to be included in the bid price
• Proposed delivery schedule (waiting time up to delivery)
• Vehicle brochure or image
• Bid price validity period

7. Evaluation Approach

Stage 1: Eligibility Check

All required eligibility documents have to be relevant and valid.

Stage 2: Technical Compliance

The proposed vehicle has to meet required specifications

Stage 3: Relevant Experience

List at least one previous client supplied with similar truck (include client name, contact, and address)

Stage 4: Price Comparison

Only suppliers who pass all stages will proceed to price comparison.

• Among the compliant bidders, the lowest-priced offer will be ranked first and considered for contract negotiation and award.
• Bid price will be compared per lot (for each truck separately)
• Bidder can provide offer for both or one truck

Note: Bidders should state payment terms and delivery period in their bid price.

   8. Submission Instructions

• Any interested applicants should submit one original and one copy of the complete bid document to Good Neighbors Tanzania Head Office (Dar es Salaam) along Bagamoyo Road, Boko Area, near Chama before 11.30 am on 24th September 2025 AM.
  Bid document should be clearly marked TENDER FOR PROCUREMENT OF BRAND-NEW TRUCKS: MAIZE PROJECT, SONGWE PROJECT TENDER NO. GNTZ/SPO/2025/005
• Deadline for Submission: 24th September 2025 at 11:30 AM thereafter the Tender document will be opened in the presence of bidders or their representatives
• Price proposals have to be sealed separately inside the same envelope
• To avoid risk of delay, bidders are advised to submit their bids in advance of the opening day or arrive early on the opening day.
