Job Purpose:

To install, maintain, and repair all plumbing systems across the mine site, including the camp, offices, and process plant, ensuring a reliable supply of potable water and efficient wastewater management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and drainage systems.
• Respond to and resolve plumbing emergencies (leaks, blockages, bursts) promptly.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on water pumps, tanks, and treatment systems.
• Read and interpret plumbing blueprints and drawings.
• Ensure all work complies with plumbing codes, safety standards, and best practices.
• Collaborate with other trades (e.g., fitters, electricians) on projects.
• Maintain an inventory of plumbing tools, equipment, and spare parts.
• Complete work orders and maintenance logs accurately.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Trade Certificate in Plumbing from a recognized institution.
• Must have a valid plumbing license where required by local law.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a qualified plumber. Industrial or commercial experience is required; mining experience is advantageous.
• Experience with water treatment and high-pressure systems is a plus.
• Physically fit and able to work in confined spaces and at heights.
